CF reader not working

I recently purchased a digital camera (nikon D70) and a
CF card reader (San Disk ImageMate CF) and neither seem
to want to work. The Hardware Wizard tells me that it
can't locate the neccessary software and my device may
not run properly (which of course it doesn't work at all)
I checked my power mangement on the USB hub and it isn't
allowed to turn off.

I tried loading my Windows XP Upgrade Disk to try and
replace a driver or component that may have been removed
accidentally but I get an Error message saying "Setup was
unable to open information file wbemoc.inf. The specific
Error code is 0x2 at line 2011777033."
