Default Changing default folder which opens in Explorer

Hi all

Can any one help with this:

When I open Explorer it defaults to the My Documents folder which means I
have to navigate every time to anything on the C: drive. If I want My
Documents I can get this from the Desktop - the point of opening Explorer is
to go elsewhere!

Is there any way I can get Explorer to open with the C: as default?

Thanks

Nanouk

Create a new shortcut for EXPLORER.EXE and customize it as you want.
Help with this is available from "Explorer.exe Command-Line Options
for Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314853).

Hi, Thorston,
I think all "Nanouk" needed to know was to go to the shortcut properties and
change the target value to -

C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e, c:\

I checked out that link & personally found it quite obtuse.

I have been using Drive (http://www.mikasalonen.com/drive/) which allows
me to choose the location between C:-Z: but also between Windows
Explorer and My Computer.
