Changing the directory of "My Document" and "Program Files".

Posted: 09-14-2003, 04:58 PM
Everytime when I want to save a document, pictures or whatsoever, the first
folder Windows Xp will point to is the default "My Document" folder. Same
goes to installing a program, Win Xp will do the same. How do I tell the Win
Xp to point to the folder that I decided without browsing to the desired
folder manually? Thanks in advance.

Some Apps have a setting that allows you to select a default save path

Yes, some applications do have an option which helps you to change the
default path like MS Word. When saving a picture from a web, Win Xp straight
brings you to "My Document" default folder.

I want to change the directory as I want to separate the documents, pictures
and etc away from the C:/ partition. Thanks for your reply.
