Checkbox prints in IE and Netscape

When we print forms from our intranet that have checkboxes
in them, the checkboxes just print as a solid square. This
happens in IE 6 and Netscape 7.
Any ideas? This is printing to a Minolta Di450 Laser
copier/Printer.
