Cisco VPN Client 4.8.01.0410 Uninstall

Posted: 10-04-2006, 04:02 AM
I attempted a reinstall of the Cisco Beta VPN client to correct a driver
error. The reinstall failed. I am now attempting to remove the client from
Vista using the Programs and Features function in Control Panel. I get an
error message that states that another install is in progress and the
uninstall process can not start until the current installation process is
completed. Since the original install failed, I believe it must have a
registry setting or other parameter that is telling the uninstall program not
to work. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Have you also contacted Cisco for help?

I resolved this issue by re-installing Vista build 5728 again. Then removed
the VPN client using programs and features in control panel. Performed a
fresh install of Cisco client 4.8.01.0410 and am now using it to connect to
the corporate network. Appears to be working correctly.
