Clear StartUp (Performance Ratng Message)

Posted: 06-23-2006, 08:02 PM
In Performance Rating I have the following listed programs, "causing Windows
to start slowly". I had the same ones before and cleared them, but no idea
how I did it. Suggestions?

MIGWWIZ.exe
Migration Wizard
Microsoft Corporation (lol)

Clearing them does not get rid of the problem. It is re-reporting them.

Okay, let me re-phrase then. I managed to no longer have them displayed.

One way if its startup items is to use MSCONFIG to disable unneeded items.
Or you can use Windows Defender to remove/disable startup apps. Or even
directly adjust the apps themselves from their own settings.

Once you think you have it resolved, if the message doesnt go away you can
select the "resolved" option.
