Client Security Solution, Lenovo ThinkVantage

Default Client Security Solution, Lenovo ThinkVantage

I recently got Vista Ultimate for my X60 Tablet. I formatted and deleted the
recovery partition, and installed Vista from scratch on it.

After finishing install process I went to Lenovo's support pages, downloaded
System Update, which to care of the hardware and software update of my model.
When System Update where finished with downloading all drivers and programs
(about 26 og 27 I think), updated the system and restarted, the program
"Client Security Solution" from Lenovo appears. It seems like it is a type of
password manager program amongst more. I am an administrator on my tablet,
and the only user and accountant. I give the Client Security Solution program
access - but it says something like: "The user could not be enrolled with
Client Security Sollution". This happens repetitively every time I start my
computer and give access to the program.

If I go to the ThinkVantage folder, right click the program and choose "run
as administrator" it just starts normally, and I get access to the features
in it - except the password manager, which is greyed out...

All thoughts and answers is welcome to increase my knowledge and
understanding as I find no information about this issue...

Olav

The application should be 'asking you' if you want to run it with
administrator privileges, instead of simply saying that it cannot run
without administrator privileges. The program is not compatible with Vista.

Here is how you can make it work.

Right click the application and select Properties / Compatibility Tab. At
the bottom of the dialog box in Privilege Level select the Run this program
as an administrator option.

This will make the program ask you whenever it is started.

Thanks alot for your answer - I learnt about a new function with Vista.
However the problem with the "Client Security Solution" is still occuring. I
went to the Compatibility tab and choose the program to run under
administrator privileges, but it seems like nothing is changed yet.
I also think that the program is compatible with Vista as it has worked on
another Lenovo X60 with Vista, and System Update from Lenovo only installs
compatible updates with current installed OS.

I presume there will be a common solution to this in the future, but until
then I hope someone have a solution to this problem so that I don't need to
see the warning everytime I start my computer.

Thanks in advance!

Olav

You might want to contact Lenovo support about this problem, it could be a
problem that was caused by deleting the recovery partition and reinstalling
Vista.
