Default Combining User Accounts

I have a new Vista computer, linked files over from old computer and it
automatically created a separate user account. I don't need 2 user accounts
and am trying to combine the two. Can't figure it out.

I'm having the same problem & noticed that no one has responded. How do I
combine the two user accounts into one?

I also have been making do with two (2) unnecessary administrator
accounts in Vista. The second (2nd) was also automatically generated
when I brought in my files from my old computer. I am suprised there
is no answer on how to combine the accounts. It is becoming
inconvenient for me to toggle back forth between the two. Hoping
someone can instruct on how to combine those accounts.

You will first need to activate the Administrator account. Here's how:
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67...r-account.html

Then log off and log on to this account. May take a minute while it
builds the desktop. Control panel/User Accounts and Family Safety. You
can delete an account there.

Be sure to move all files from the user accounts you are going to
delete as they will vanish. You should also be able to do this from the
Admin. Acct. I only have one account, but you should be able to see all
Users folders as Admin. Good backups are always recommended.

When your done, I recommend disabling the Admin. Account again or at
least giving it a strong password.

Hope this helps.
