Frankly I would say "not". I would also suggest that whether you like it or
not Carey's advice is essentially correct - Office 97 is so obsolete that
whether it will work or not one should not even be considering its use any
longer.

Wasn't Office 97 designed for Win95? What version of Windows are you using?
Why don't you try the preview of Office2007? I like it now that I am more
used to it; it will be a shock to you, though. But, you have to have
Win2000 or WinXP to use it.

Why should they replace it if it works & dose the job.

Unless there giving away Free upgrades, if it works & runs, keep using it.

I understand your frustration, and I wish that I knew the answer (and
while we are at it, might as well answer the question for Windows 2000,
XP and 2003 at the same time).

While I agree that Office 97 is so old that it generally should be
abandoned in favor of a newer version, it is still a legitimate question
and deserves a yes or no answer. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer
or I'd give it to you.
