Computer Browser service fails with exit code 1068

Hi,

When i start my vista Pc and key in the password then my vista PC is taking
a long time to login.

When i observed my PC health in "Control Panel\Performance Information and
Tools\Advanced Tools\Generate system health report" i observed the following
services failed to start with error 1608.
1. Computer browser
2. server

I tried restarting these services manually but i got the same error message.

Any help would in this regard would be appreciated.

Computer service depends on server and workstation services. make sure they
are running.

Hi Robert,
Both of these services are not running.
When i try to restart them manually im getting error 1068.

Open the properties of each service to check their dependencies. Then make
sure those dependencies are running.

All the dependent services are running except
