Computer Carshes When I Insert An Audio CD

Hi, whenever I insert an Audio CD nothing happens, when i try to go onto My
Computer and
open the optical drive it completely crashes and I have to restart. It plays
other CD's and DVD's
but not Audio CD's. Please can you help me to solve this problem. Thanks,
