| Steps to disable standby in Vista. Click Start , and then click Control Panel, System and Maintenance, and then click Power Options. Select Energy Star, Power saver, or High performance, and then click Change plan settings. If you want the display and computer to stay on, change the settings to Never. Alternatively you may try this: Click Start , and then right-click Computer. Select Properties, and then click Device Manager in the left panel of the window. Click the plus sign ( +) next to Network Adapters. Double-click the name of the device to open a Properties window. Click the Power Management tab, and check the selection from Allow this device to wake the computer. -- Ramsey_HP ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ramsey_HP's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=29160 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=797989 http://forums.techarena.in | Guest
