Computer won't Sleep

Default Computer won't Sleep

My PC has stopped going into Sleep properly - it worked fine till a few days
ago, and I've not added any new hardware or left any removable devices
plugged in, etc.

It used to go totally silent, and the power light would blink slowly. It
would also take a good few seconds to wake up. Now it turns off the
monitor, but I can still hear the fans going, and the power light stays on
solid. Also it wakes up nearly instantly now.

The only possible difference I can think of is I now have some TV scheduled
to record - but sometimes it's not due to record for a few days, so I don't
think that should affect it. Also I'm pretty sure when I first got my TV
card I tried scheduling a recording and then going into sleep mode, just to
see what would happen, and I'm sure it went to sleep ok and STILL recorded.

Any ideas? It's driving me mad as I can't sleep with the fan noise on, but I
have some recordings scheduled I don't want to miss, which I will if I have
to Shutdown.

Thanks

Start>Control Panel>Power Options>Under checked plan select "Change Plan
Settings">Select "Change Advanced Power Setttings - verify they are what
you want.

They are. But it still won't sleep. It did before, and I've never touched
those settings

My PC acts like it wants to sleep...begins the process...screen
blanks...mouse LED kicks off...then BAM...it's wide awake again. I just have
to shut the dumb thing off.

Do you have any TV recordings scheduled in Media Center?

I have an ASUS p5b-e and VISTA64 and computer will not go to sleep, it
goes thru the motions then wakes up and carries on.
Updated my Nvidea drivers to latest ACPI settings are on, yikes is
there a hotfix for not sleeping.
