How do I configure Windows XP home edition to provide the sound recorder?
When I try "add programs," I don't see sound recorder as an option

.... not even under Windows components. Strange!
Yet, I have it installed.

But before you go through much effort:
I cannot find this in the Help file, so it may have changed, but previous
versions of Sound Recorder were limited to recording one minute of sound.

If you should want to record longer pieces, don't bother about the Sound
Recorder, but use recording and editing software that may well have come
with a sound card, or be part of a CD-burning suite. (You would not even
have asked if you had music software installed.)

Yes, even under add windows components, I can't find the sound recorder. I
looked under accessories and everywhere else that made sense. However, I
took your suggestion to look at my CD-burning suite. I found what I need, so
I'll not worry about windows sound recorder. Thanks for your help.
