Connect HOST and VM without Ethernet

Posted: 06-05-2007, 02:35 PM
Hi @ll

my hostsystem is a notebook (Windows XP) and it isn't connect to the
internet or network. Then I start my virtual machine (Windows XP) with NAT
configuration. The virtual machine have in the taskbar the two pcicons
without the red X, so the virtual machine is virtual connected. But I can't
ping the Host. The host can only ping himself or the loopback and the virtual
machine can only ping himself or the loopack.

Is there a way to connect the virtual machine with the Host, when the host
isn't connect to the lan. I think, I can call it as a virtual crossover cable.

Thank for your help and sorry for my bad english.
