I am currently running Windows Vista Ultimate on a Dell laptop. I am
using the built-in wireless NIC to connect to a Linksys Wireless Access
point which is connected to my office computer network. I am also
(trying) to use my Clearwire Internet PCMCIA Adapter (it's a satellite
Internet Service Provider) at the same time.
I want to use the wireless NIC connection (we'll call it the Office
Connection) to access my LAN resources (Exchange Server, Printers,
Network Folders, etc). DHCP is enabled. To access the Internet, I have
to connect to a proxy server.
I want to use the satellite NIC connection (the Clearwire PCMCIA one)
to access the Internet. The card uses a simple piece of software to
initiate the card, connect to the network, and authenticate my account.
Card doesn't work if the software is turned off. DHCP is enabled. When
the office connection is disabled, it's a direct connection to the
Internet, no proxy server.
So, in a nutshell, I want Vista to use my wireless connection for my
Outlook, Printers, and Network Resources. I want Vista to use my
Clearwire connection for the Internet.
I tried bridging the two, but that didn't work. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
