connecting winxp pro s2 to vista home via remote desktop

Posted: 11-13-2007, 07:40 PM
..

Many thankshi,
ive read through lots of posts about this but none of the pst have helped.

I have used my xp pro remote desktop to connect to many xp machines in the
past successfully.

Now i am trying to connect to vita home, ive got file sharing and everything
else turned on in network sharing in control pannel, i have client 6
installed on xp as another post said do. remote desktop is allowed under my
computer. I also have a password on my user account. However everytime i try
to connect to the vista i put in the name, then it asks me for the username
and password what i put in, it then starts to connect but then the program
goes back to the remote desktop screen to select what computer to connect to.

Anyone has any ideas?

p.s i also want to share my files to which i have everything selected to
allow everyone to view these files but when i try to connect the files are
seen but still cant be accessed using xp pro

Sorry, Vista Home Premium does not include the Remote Desktop Host and
you can't use access Vista Home Premium using RDC. In other words, only the
