| Ok. I'm sick and tired of Vista periodically and randomly changin folder views on me. One day, Windows Explorer will show c:\temp in detail view. The next, it will decide to apply the "Pictures an Videos" template and it will be in large icons. I won't have change anything in the folder. Not a single new, modified or deleted file. I is by far my greatest annoyance. I've searched around, and found solutions to "reset" Vista's folde "training." But this is a temporary fix - Vista always gets screw after a few days. Does anyone have any good ideas for fixing Vista's Explorer behavior? Ideally, Vista would apply the templates in a logical maner (ie. no using the "Music Icons" template for a folder with no music files, o the "Pictures and Videos" template for folder full of nothing bu mp3's). Baring that soluion, I would be ok with Vista defaulting to my chose "All Items" view for every folder, and only using a different view if have told Vista to do so. Baring that, is there a way to just force Vista to look at every folde using my chosen "All Items" view? Thanks, ltwall -- ltwally | Guest

| I've used the quick-fixes listed there. The fix is short-lived, and i my opinion, not worth fiddling with. Resetting all the views i annoying - especially if I have to do it every few days. I'm looking for a more permanent solution - even if it meant goin backwards to an Explorer like the one that came with Win2000 would be a improvement than having Vista fubar the views on a constant, seemingl random basis.
