| The system lately has been having delays after logging in. As soon as I do Cnt+Alt+Del and type my passsword, my system takes exactly 60 seconds to allow my icons to appear on my desktop. As far as i know i have all the latest security patches and no new changes to the system. | Guest

This likely the amount of programs you have set to start at boot time or one of these programs that is starting slowly. It could simply be the installed anti-virus program taht is checking the drive or checking for updates at boot time. Go to Start/Run and type msconfig and press OK.
