Converting filenames to Unicode

Default Converting filenames to Unicode

I'm using XP home, US edition, and I have some files that have Japanese
filename (JIS encoding, 2-bytes, not unicode). What I'd like to do is put
these into proper unicode format so they show up properly in explorer.

I've tried in vain on Google to find a simple utility that will let me
convert filenames to automatically. It ought to be a fairly simple process,
and if need be I'll try to write a VBscript to do it. But I wanted to check
first if there was any existing utility to do this (preferably one that can
