Default Correct procedure for installing Nvidia drivers under Vista?

Under XP I always uninstalled the current Nvidia drivers (per their
recommendation) using ADD/REMOVE programs before installing the new
driver package.

Vista RC2 x86 installed Nvidia drivers for my GeForce 6800 (V96.77) which
do not show up under installed programs in Vista.

When installing the new RC2 drivers from the Nvidia web site (96.85) did
you first uninstall the existing drivers from Device Manager? Or did you
just run the new 96.85 driver install package with the current drivers
still in place?

Since the Vista RC2 drivers that are already installed are working great
I don't want to mess things up with a failed install of the new 96.85
drivers. Thanks for any info.

I just run the EXE file and restarted the PC.
