Correct settings for Media Player 10

Posted: 03-28-2005, 06:58 PM
I am running Windows XP Professional with SP2. I have trouble accessing
sites thru Media Player which I believe is being caused by the firewall.
What do I need to do to make media player work correctly. I don't want to
expose my PC any more than necessary since I am just getting to load my
antivirus software, but I do want media player to work properly without any
problems.

Open WMP/Tools/Options/Privacy tab/Check "Display media information
from the Internet". If that doesn't work, troubleshoot your settings.
