Could not find a driver for Generic volume (STORAGE\Volume).

Posted: 10-15-2003, 09:47 PM
My target platform is an embedded PC that uses the Via Eden Fanless
processor and a Via chipset.
I installed Windows XP SP1 on the machine with all the appropriate hotfixes
from Windows Update.
Then I ran tap.exe on the target machine, generating the corresponding .pmq
file.

I imported the .pmq file in the Target Designer. Everything worked well
except for the following message:

================================================== ==========
Target Analyzer found 48 devices.
Loading the driver database. (04:39:25 p.m.)
Driver database contains 9348 drivers. (04:46:54 p.m.)
Adding Default Monitor to the configuration.
Info 101: Initializing new component: "Default Monitor [Version 5.1.2600,
R620]"
Info 101: Estimated footprint: 53248 Bytes
....
Could not find a driver for Generic volume (STORAGE\Volume).
....
Import succeeded with 47 drivers for 48 devices.

================================================== ==========

Can I ignore this?

Thanks in advance,
Axel
