I am also having the problem of my processor being pegged
at 100%. I did have and removed the welchia virus which
did have a svchost.exe that I deleted. It was plain to
see that I had a virus when I did the tasklist /svc
command at the command prompt. That command was useful
because it lists all the processes (so to speak) that is
running under the svchost.exe. I've removed the virus,
but it is still at 100%. I'm fairly confident the virus
is removed because when I had it, I was CONSTANTLY sending
data to the internet, at a rate 4 to 5x higher then my
receiving, which just didn't make sense.
When I tried killing the svchost.exe that was running at
75-80%, my computer shut down. Any other suggestions?
