Crackling sound

Posted: 12-16-2003, 07:35 PM
When I listen to music, maybe from an email message, if there are graphics,
or if I move my curser, then the music is has cracking sounds. Today on a
stationery page, if I loaded the picture...with the music to full size then
the music was cracking, but it played fine when the picture was just a
thumb nail.

Is there something I can do to settings, etc to fix this. I am running XP
professional. Sound would be Creative Audio PCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM)
I have checked, but get a message that I don't need new drivers.

This computer originally came with WIN 98 and I upgraded to XP.

Thank-you for any help.

Novice Liz
