Posted: 06-29-2007, 07:08 PM
Ok the problem is !!!

Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS soundcard.
After installing the Software to use n callibrate all 6 speakers (5.1)
the software would not start at all.

Software can not start because its missing the compatible Drivers or
something.

But in Device Manager i can see that i have - Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS (WDM)

The Problem Solution sais that i should download - Creative Audigy Audio
Processor (WDM).

im completly lost, because i can only find - Creative Sound Blaster Audigy
series Vista Driver 2.12.0002 on the website
and by installing that i think the hole audio card gets disabeled cant use
it i get the warning triangle on it in Device Meneger /!\

Help Plz!

Mayham,

Creative has had continued difficulty, or lacked commitment, in developing
Vista compatible drivers for some of its sound cards, including the Audigy
series. I'm not sure where this "Vista driver for Audigy" situation stand at
this point in time, but I noticed this site that claims to have "hacked" some
Audigy drivers to make them Vista compatible:

http://forums.creative.com/creativel...cending&page=1

Since I'm not totally familiar with this situation, take a look at the
information at the site to determine whether it has what you need. You may
even decide to participate in that forum to obtain additional information.

Search for CTSreg.dll and copy it to your C:\Windows\System32\ directory (if
it is not already there). Then from an "elevated" command prompt (type cmd in
the Search box above the Start Orb, and when cmd.exe appears at the top, right
click on cmd.exe, select "Run as Administrator", and type: regserv32
CTSreg.dll .

You should receive a confirmation that the dll was successfully registered.

Are these the drivers you installed?
http://us.creative.com/support/downl...s+Vista+32-bit

If so, there should have been a console tool included that will work in
Vista. You CAN NOT use any of the programs that came on the CD for your
Audigy 2 ZS.

The platinum drivers work for the 2ZS. I have my Audigy2zs Platinum setup
without the internal box. :0)
