Default Creen goes black

Sometimes, when i start a game(Call of Duty 2)or try to change the resolution
or refresh rate, my screen goes black.

The computer is on, but screen is black(and the monitors power led goes to
orange)

Only boot helps. I use Nvidia's newest Vista drivers.

What can i do?

Default Re: Creen goes black

Are you trying to switch to a video resolution that is outside the
capabilities of your monitor? If so, this may occur. And, if this is what is
happening - you are lucky that a reboot solves the condition. For most
people, it will not.

Default Re: Creen goes black

Im using 1024 resolution and 85 Hertz(my monitor is capable for these settings)
And i think i solved this problem. I changed Vista's Aero skin to a Windows
default and now, the black screens are gone. Dont now why this helped.
