Data CD from WMP Playlist ?

Is there any way to use the WMP Media Library to build a playlist of
songs
to burn, but then to burn them in mp3 or wma format ? I find the
Media Library convenient and already have a huge library but only
recently discovered the "Won't Fit" problem whereby WMP converts to
audio format before burning such that you only get an audio CD and
about an hour's music on the CD.
Alternatively, is there a way to export the WMP Library file list
into another CD burner (Nero or whatever) that also has a library
function so I don't have to rekey in all my music files ?
Or is there a CD burner that will burn a data CD of mp3 that has a
librarian AND a searching feature like the one on WMP, so I can at
least have it search for all the wma files I already have put on my
computer using WMP ?
Any suggestions would be most appreciated...

You need to try burning your list of mp3's or wma files as a DATA CD and not
an AUDIO CD. I don't use wmp as its hmmm, shall we say, not good. Nero will
burn better but I'm not into lists.

I did this the other day (on Windows XP) by using "Copy to CD or Device" and
selecting "Data CD" from the drop-down on the right side of the screen.
(You may need the HighMAT writing extension from http://highmat.com/download
for this to work).

However, I didn't find the resultant CD very useful (to me) as the the
original directory structure of the audio files was not presereved.

Thanks to all for replying.
What does that writing extension you mentioned actually do ? And
what is the consequence of the Data CD not preserving the file
structure ? All I care about is if the mp3 or wma files I copy
playing. I think I tried to make a data cd but was still getting the
"Won't fit" error message since I was selecting more mp3 files than
would fit AFTER they'd been converted to conventional cd audio format
but may not be remembering right.
