Data DVD burning in Vista?

One of the things I liked about XP is that you could burn data files to a CD
without the use of 3rd party software.

Will Vista keep this capability? Will they also add the ability to burn
data files to DVD (without 3rd party software)? How about dual layer DVDs?

Vista definitely supports UDF burning of DVDs, I would guess dual-layer is
supported. I use a DVD-RAM drive without needing additional drivers (works
like a large floppy disc)
