Decodepointer could not be located during install

Posted: 06-13-2006, 09:20 PM
Has anyone seen a solution to this problem.

While installing Vista(iso file) with Daemon Tools or from DVD I get an
error after typing in my key code that came with the technet cd that reads:

The procedure entry point DecodePointer could not be located in the dynamic
link library kernel32.dll.

Any assistance would be much appreciated. I've looked all over for a
solution.

thanks,
JJ

I have the Same problem, and don't see anything documenting the problem, or a
fix.

I'm having the same problem, and don't see any documentation on it, or a
response here.

I had the same problem with a Microsoft supplied DVD. Just after I enter the
Product Key I get the error message "The procedure entry point DecodePointer
could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll. After I
respond to the error message. I see the message "Setup can not validate
your Product Key".

Has anyone figured out how to resolve this problem?
