What version of Picture It! are you using?

Here's an article that addresses the 2001 and
2002 program:

(310717) PIP: Utility Available for Download that Removes Items
from the Most Recently Used (MRU) File List
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;310717

========================================

Here's the directions for the 7.0 version.

The simple solution is to uncheck "Show On Startup"
on your "Startup Window"...then you won't see it anymore.

You can remove the Recent Files from PI7.0 by editing
your registry...carefully read the following article first
before proceeding:

Information About Editing the Registry
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;256986#Topic2
(if this link is clipped, you will need to copy and paste)

Go to...Start / Run...and type in "regedit" (without the
quotes) Click...OK.

In your Registry Editor...drill down to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Picture
It!\7.0\Recent File List.

Right click the "Recent File List" key and choose "Delete".
(a new key will be created when windows reboots)

===========================================

In version 9, just go to...Tools / Options / Empty Recent
Files List.
