Dell 2007FPW Monitor driver can't be installed

It is Vista x86!

If the XP driver doesn't work and you can't identify a more generic Vista
beta driver that will work then there is not anything you can do.

MG,

I had the same problems with the older 2005FPW. For some really weird reason
1680x1050 is NOT a choice for resolution.

I have a ATI x600 w/256MB RAM.

Here's how I fixed it: Power Strip http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/ps.shtm

I had to create a custom resolution for 1680x1050. You will have to play
around a bit....as I cannot remember the exact steps I took.

I am now able to select 1680x1050 as a choice on the Vista Display Settings.

The PowerStrip utility will want to run at start-up, but I've found that you
can kill it after booting. I have not removed it....as things are working
good now.

That powerstrip thing looks pretty cool. It also supports Vista.
