Default Desktop icons and Domian

Hi
How on earth do I join a domain? I have tried the 'Computer Name' tab which
shows me it is in a Workgroup but the 'Change' button is missing.

Also is it possible to put the 'My Computer' & I.E icon on the desktop like
XP? I have looked everywhere but cannot see any option to show it?

Thanks in advance

I've looked everywhere for the IE and Computer buttons, or in general in
customising the desktop, but nothing as yet. I do believe this is a bug.

Zack!! I can't believe you've missed this...

Right click the desktop > Personalize > top left corner there is a link
for desktop items. Click on that, then you can select what you want to
put on the desktop.

It is a bit out the way though, admittedly...

There are a couple of things you probably need to try:
Disable UAP: Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run > type in
MSCONFIG > Tools (tab) > scroll down select Disable UAP > Launch > Restart
computer.

Log back in and see if the Computer Name tab appears. If not, you probably
need to enable the built in Administrator account:
Please check the following the link for instructions about enabling the
Administrator account:
