| Hi How on earth do I join a domain? I have tried the 'Computer Name' tab which shows me it is in a Workgroup but the 'Change' button is missing. Also is it possible to put the 'My Computer' & I.E icon on the desktop like XP? I have looked everywhere but cannot see any option to show it? Thanks in advance -- | Guest

| I've looked everywhere for the IE and Computer buttons, or in general in customising the desktop, but nothing as yet. I do believe this is a bug. -- Zack Whittaker » ZackNET Enterprises: www.zacknet.co.uk » MSBlog on ResDev: www.msblog.org » Vista Knowledge Base: www.vistabase.co.uk » This mailing is provided "as is" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | Zack!! I can't believe you've missed this... Right click the desktop > Personalize > top left corner there is a link for desktop items. Click on that, then you can select what you want to put on the desktop. It is a bit out the way though, admittedly... | There are a couple of things you probably need to try: Disable UAP: Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run > type in MSCONFIG > Tools (tab) > scroll down select Disable UAP > Launch > Restart computer. Log back in and see if the Computer Name tab appears. If not, you probably need to enable the built in Administrator account: Please check the following the link for instructions about enabling the Administrator account: http://windowsconnected.com/blogs/je...2/22/1028.aspx -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Rob Kelley" <robkelley@ringwood.com> wrote in message news:uaghbxKWGHA.4572@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl...
