desktop res

I am running winxp pro and have been using an 800/600
resolution. I have recently change it to 1024/768. For
some reason and without provocation it switches back to
the 800/600 res. It runs fine for days on the 1024 res,
then for no reason when I log on it has change back to
800. Anyone know how I can make it stay at 1024/768?

Yes I click apply after I change the res. And there isn't
any game played on this computer that can only be
displayed in 800/600.

Sawney,

Are there other users with accounts on your computer that could be changing
the resolution manually when they log in?
