Hello. In device manager i have this statement called
other devices. With a yellow exclamation mark on it.
Inside that is a file called multimedia audio controller.
I have no idea what this is. I have updated my sound card
drivers. Cannot find any other driver for this. Im running
win xp home edition. Appreciate any help. Thankyou.

I can not open Device Manager. I keep getting an error
message "Microsoft management console has encountered a
problem and needs to close..." I have sent the error
message to Microsoft, for whatever good that does. How
can I fix the problem? Do I need to do a reinstall of
Microsoft XP?

Hi,

Forgive if this is the inappropriate section for my
question. This is a device driver configuration question
rather than device driver development.

In device manager, when clicking view, show hidden
devices, a list of non plug and play drivers appears. I
am trying to configure the list so that all the
unnecessary drivers do not load at start up. However, the
driver details under properties of each non plug and play
driver is too unadequate for me to make sound decisions.
I could, by trial and error, disable the each driver and
restart my computer each time to test if everything still
works, but this would take way too long.

I am wondering if someone can provide me with a website
that can list infomation on the drivers? To tell me
which one is safe to disable...much like www.blkviper.com
does for services. I've been searching for days with
no luck.

Thank you with anticipation and appreciation,
Terry

I have an exclamation mark on a yellow field under my
nvidia g force 2 mx graphics card. I thought my drivers
had become corrupted and windows update had an updated
driver but when it tried to install the download it came
up with the message the device cannot start, Code 10.
anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Right click on it and select Uninstall. Reboot the PC. Windows should
then re-find it and reinstall the correct drivers.

I show an "unknown device" with a red X in my Images
folder in the Devicd Manager that I cannot delete cuz it
claims it may be required to boot up the computer. I
doubt it...how do I delete it? Thank you
