device not verified

for some reason my psc 1350 is not being recognized by
windows XP even though it bears the campatability logo.
It will not let me install the software. I don't know why
this happens as it was installed and running for the last
year. Now it's like it was never on the system. When I
tried to renstall I got the error message.
