Devices or Applications Disabled!

I tried to reinstall Adaptec Easy CD Creator 3.5 disk on
my new Windows XP Home Edition.( It was preinstalled on
Windows 98 from Dell when I bought my computer). It said
it needed updated drivers. I tried and failed to find
updated drivers, so I went into Control Panel and removed
the program. Now, when I start my computer and Windows
loads, I get a message above my taskbar "Devices or
Applications Disabled" - "Windows has prevented these
drivers from loading." I did properly remove the program
in Control Panel, but how do I stop the warning message?
