Default dhcp and static both...HOW!

We use static addresses for our office workgroup but many of us have
broadband connections at home. I can't seem to make 2 broadband connections
where one is for home, DHCP and keep the one for work, the static.

Thank you in advance.

Try this

Control panel ->
Network and Internet Connections ->
Right click your LAN connection and choose properties ->
Select TCP/IP, hit properties ->
On the General TAB, set up for a DHCP configuration (e.g. obtain dns and ip
automatically)
On the alternate configuration tab, enter your static IP address settings.

What should happen is this:
On bootup, XP should look for the DHCP server and then the gateway
specificed in the DHCP information. If it cannot find either (as hopefully
it would not on your office LAN) it then should hopefully "fail over" to the
static IP settings.
