Default directX 9B

a funny thing here, I just bought a new system and when I got it I ran the
directX diag utility and everything passed, when I ran it again after
playing a playing a game it stated that my sound card driver is not logoed.
the system had the first direct X 9 on it I have since updated it to direct
X 9.0B or whatever. just curious as to being alright at one point in time
and then not being loged the next. I also ran it after I downloaded direct X
9.0B and it said everything was alright then too. I'm alright updating my
drivers when needed but I'm a little leary of doing all the time too cause I
consider that sometimes that can lead to problems too. I have realtek
onboard sound. any ideas would be helpfull.

Hi Stephen,
Some games will try to load DirectX when you do the install. This can
happen when they don't recognize DX9.
If they try to install a DX version lower then what you already have, it may
cause some issues. If you get the option don't install the lower DX version
if you know you have higher. Some games are not so friendly, they just go
ahead and try installing lower versions which may cause some files not to be
recognized.

Thanks for your post!
