directx8.1

Posted: 07-24-2003, 02:14 PM
received a demo version of some studio software but it
won't load due to the fact that it needs directx8.1 -
mamnaged to find and install directx9 but that wasn't
good enough. Eventually found directx8.1 ( its a
redistributable version(??????))but it now gives me an
error reporting that" Dx81redist.exe is not a valid min32
application"

Help if you can!
cheers

Re-install DX9, it is backward compatible so should work with what ever
studio soft ware you have
btw - what do you have ?

Cheers,

Start > Run > type dxdiag > OK and you'll see the version at the bottom of
the next screen.
