Disable Install Permissions XP Home

XP Home, Administrator privilege account.

Is there a way to block all software installs in an account with
administrator privileges? I realize the Limited Account feature will do
this, but one piece of necessary software requires an Administrator
privilege account.

You could achieve this using the group policy editor. Is this machine on a
Domain or is it in a Workgroup? Either way, there are a couple of ways to
skin this cat. I am wondering why you just don't create, say a power users
account, then scale back the priveledges from there. What exactly is this
administrator supposed to do?
