Disable scrolling on taskbar?

Using winXP sp1.

Does anyone know how to disable the scrolling of the
taskbar when multiple apps are open?

Seems like the taskbar can only hold 11 app icons. If
more apps are opened, the taskbar places them on
another "layer" so that you have to scroll up/down to see
all your opened apps?

If you want scrolling disabled you can make it group them
instead by right-clicking on the start menu then:
Properties> Taskbar and click on "Group similar taskbar
buttons".

right click on taskbar
--> click properties
--> unselect 'group similar taskbar buttons'

that should do it.
