| Is there a way to make it so that standard users can't even see the "manage another account" or at least not have the UAC pop for that specific link at all? also is there a way to let a standard user have administrator privlidges for a specific program, It needs to access my media, but since it uses the "Root" account, it only sees Root's media, and if I browse to C:\users\drunk3nrabbit i can't see videos, music pictures, ect... thanks -D3R -- drunk3nrabbit | Guest

| Hello, Quote:
this would prevent the user from editing their user account settings as well. Quote:
I would suggest moving the default pictures/movies/etc folder location to another location outside of root's profile folder, and then doing the same thing from your standard user account, essentially making these two accounts share these folders. Make sure that the permissions end up giving both users access. -- - JB Microsoft MVP - Windows Shell/User Windows Vista Support Faq http://www.jimmah.com/vista/ | Guest
