Disable WinXP printer driver.

I have a problem with WinXp re-installing the Epson
printer driver that is embedded in Windows and then my
printer goes haywire and only prints 9/16" black lines on
paper. The Manuf. driver works fine when first installed,
but after a re-boot Windows re-installed the embedded
driver and I'm back at square 1 and have to erase it and
start installing the manuf. driver and then I can work
with it till I reboot.
My question is: How do I prevent Windows from re-
installing the XP embedded driver?
Perhaps there is a way to remove the embedded driver from
Win XP? Please help. Thank you.
