Disc Clean up

I am trying to run a Disc clean up and the program never
gets past calculating how much disc space will be saved.

Any answers???

>NEVER is a pretty strong word. It takes a while for it
to figure out how much it can save. It suprised me how
long it took the first time I used it. In 95 and 98 it
was a lot faster. Patience is a virtue, but I have heard
of a petition being passed around to replace it with
apathy, I'm not going to sign it.

Try this
Disk Cleanup Utility Stops Responding
(812930) - When you run the Disk Cleanup utility, the
program may stop responding (hang) while scanning for
compressed files.

i cannot clean up my web client publisher temp files
while performing disc clean up could someone offer advice

Help.....

My disk clean up starts up, but does not do anything
after start-up.any thing else I can do???

When you run the Disk Cleanup utility, the program may stop responding
(hang) while scanning for compressed files.

Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\Volume
Caches\Compress Old Files

On the Edit menu, click Delete.
When prompted to "Confirm Key Delete," click Yes.
Quit Registry Editor.

When I click on disc clean up it comes up to select the
drive but does not start when I click on the c drive and
o.k.

Can someone help here. I use windows XP

disc clean up

I did a system restore and got all neccessary updates
from windows. Now I cant run the disc clean up feature.
It seems to start, but then it doesnt seem to do
anything...I left it for hours and nothing happened...
