| Ok. I have Windows VISTA BETA 5270. But I'm a little concerned about two things. My first concern (ill go through an example first) is this. Let's say I have Windows XP on Drive C and no os on Drive D but quite a few files like Anime and such. If I were to install VISTA to drive D would I loose all my files on drive D. Also would I be able to dual boot Windows XP. ( have SP2, pretty up to date with all updates). That which was my other concern, will i be able to dual boot Windows Vista if i install it on my D drive while having windows on Drive C but both partitions on the same Hard Disk? sorry if its a little confusing but it was the best way I could explain my concern. Thanks in advance. | Guest

| several commants this is not a VISTA group, if you got Vista via legal means, then you have access to the special Vista BETA news groups. to answer in general, usually in micorsoft beta programs it is usual to require a CLEAN freshly formatted disk to install on. that being the case with Vista then you indeed wohld lose your files on the hard drive. also Vista may or may not setup your system for dual boot, depend on how the system is currently configured. if you got your Vista illegally from some download loacation, then be warned there are several ones floating around that have virus in them. mikeyhsd@sport.rr.com "Master Jedi" <MasterJedi@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:11CF08AB-C091-44B1-BE98-B98DB718B5D4@microsoft.com...
