We installed the CD-ROM driver for our Sony dscp31 digital
camera, but Windows XP doesn't recognize the device when we
plug it in. From what I can tell, the driver was INHERENT
in Windows XP already (all we had to do, apparently, was
plug in the camera), but following the camera manual, we
installed the driver software before trying that. Now it
seems as though maybe installing the software messed up our
machine's capacity to recognize the camera. We've tried
reinstalling the CD, uninstalling the drivers, downloading
new drivers, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you SO much.
