Domain Roaming Profiles Problem

I have a number of thin clients that I have setup to logon to a Windows 2003
Server AD Domain. For the most part the machines operate as expected,
including Group Policy's, but in the morning after being rebooted via Altiris
Deployment solution (and manually as well) the clients that logon to the
domain have a problem loading the profile. However 9 times out of 10 if I
simply log off and back in, the client logs in just fine.

I am running the remote desktop executable as a shell mstsc.exe, to
automatically launch a terminal server session on logon, using HP's automatic
logon applet.
