DOS printing changes pitch/font/ margins

Posted: 11-06-2003, 06:26 PM
After upgrading PC's (new machines: A DOS application that
prints to a Lexmark 2490 printer has the job reset the
setings on the printer to 10 CPI with 1.25 inch margins on
top & 1 inch margins on bottom. This happens when I copy
a file to the printer with the "copy filename LPT1"
command at a the command prompt.
Lexmark support states its drivers so not come into
play when not printing from a windows application. They
state that XP's DOS emulator must be sending soem reset
information to the printer.
My goal is to have the settings entered at the printer
(CPI 12/ no margins) stay when the DOS job prints.
