Dot Matix Printer

Posted: 09-18-2003, 06:51 PM
I have an Okidata ML590 printer. I am trying to print on
US Std Fanfold paper which is 14.88 x 11 inches. We use
Quickbooks for our accounting program. My problem is the
page is not breaking correctly. My second page prints at
the bottom of the first page. I have called Quickbooks
with no success and have changed to margins on the form
with the same results. We had Windows 98 previously (with
no printer problems) and bought new computers with Windows
XP and have had numerous printing problems. I have
deleted the printer and reinstalled it numerous times.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Although MS has provided XP drivers for a reasonably large number of
printers, those drivers -- especially for older, no longer
sold/supported ones -- are very basic, and often do not implement any
printer features beyond the absolute minimum required to print. Your
best option would be to go to the website of the printer manufacturer
(Oki) and see if they have an XP driver for your model. If no
luck there, try http://www.driverguide.com/
If you do find an XP driver somewhere, see
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/Clea...#LexmarkDriver
for steps you should take to remove the old drivers before installing
the new ones.
